City Council - Chris Nevitt, District 7

Graffiti Paint Bank

Denver Partners Against Graffiti makes available free paint for residents and volunteers removing graffiti in Denver.  The colors are the same standard colors used by the City’s graffiti removal crews.  Obtaining paint from the paint bank allows residents to quickly remove graffiti from their communities and eliminates the “patchwork” effect of using donated and leftover paint. We also have paint to cover graffiti on city-owned dumpsters.

Get the free paint, follow the tips below, keep your neighborhood clean, and send the message, “graffiti is not tolerated here!”  Graffiti paint-out tips:

1.       Get permission to paint private property.  Click here for authorization forms.

2.       Paint pre-painted surfaces with closely matched colors.

3.       Cover graffiti by painting “square blocks” – do not trace or outline the tags.  Connect the squares and make one large tag instead of several smaller ones.

4.       Don’t paint near parked vehicles.

5.       Leave “wet paint” signs on painted dumpsters.

Obtain your free paint or request graffiti removal assistance, call the Graffiti Hotline – 720-865-STOP (7867)!
